Introducing a New Pinwheel Ordering Process for NC Partners

In 2008 Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign. What their research showed, and what our experiences since then have reinforced, is that people respond positively to the symbol of the pinwheel, which represent childlike whimsy and lightheartedness and our vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy, and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities. For the past 14 years, organizations, businesses and individuals, like you, have used the pinwheel symbol to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month to raise awareness of the role each of us plays in nurturing positive childhoods for all children.

This year, we’re excited to announce a new update in our pinwheel ordering process, aimed at enhancing efficiency for all and keeping costs low for you – Prevent Child Abuse NC’s esteemed partners. Your support is instrumental in our mission to nurture positive childhoods in North Carolina, and we’re committed to ensuring you have what you need for a successful Child Abuse Prevention Month 2024!

This year, we’ve partnered with the national pinwheel supplier and Prevent Child Abuse America to streamline the ordering process. Here are the primary changes you can expect:

  • Direct Ordering: You can now place your orders directly through the Prevent Child Abuse America webstore.
  • Upfront Payment: In this new process, you’ll pay upfront for your order, ensuring a seamless transaction process without payment follow up weeks later. This ensures you have what you need for your budgeting and documentation.
  • Reduced Time: We understand the importance of efficiency, which is why we’ve revamped our process to lessen the time spent submitting, tracking, and paying for your order. This change allows us all to focus more resources on our core mission.

New Pinwheel Ordering Process Exclusively for Prevent Child Abuse NC Partners:

  1. Visit the PCA America Chapter Web Store
  2. Login with the following Username and Password:
    • Username: “PCANCPartner”
    • Password: “PCANCPartner”
  3. Click the “Pinwheels” product
  4. Enter the quantity of cartons (there are 240 pinwheels per carton) you’d like to order
  5. Click “Add to Cart.”
  6. Confirm your order in the Shopping Cart
  7. Select “Pay by credit card” to complete payment online
  8. Click “Proceed to Checkout”
  9. Fill in complete billing and shipping information
  10. Submit payment information
  11. Other details:
    1. If you need the pinwheels prior to a specific date, enter the due date for shipping and American Solutions for Business will do their best to deliver the pinwheels to you on time
    2. If you want to receive your order at the shipping address only, select “No” for “Does this order have drop-ships.”
      • However, if you want to split your order up to be delivered to multiple locations for an increased cost, select “Yes” for “Does this order have drop-ships” and be prepared to enter those additional shipping addresses
    3. Enter any special instructions for delivery
  12. Click Continue Checkout
