RECOGNIZE CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
Child Abuse Prevention Month 2026
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time when Positive Childhood Alliance North Carolina and its statewide partners join Prevent Child Abuse America in connecting with families, communities, prevention advocates, and supporters to focus on the creation of an ecosystem of primary prevention in the U.S. and emphasize the importance of building a narrative of hope for the future of children and families. At Positive Childhood Alliance NC, we believe in creating communities where all families are connected and supported. As a result, our children can live purposeful lives, filled with positive experiences and endless hope for the future.
This year’s Child Abuse Prevention Month theme, “Positive Childhoods Start With Us,” is a reminder that we all have a role to play in supporting strong families and thriving communities — support and empowerment are the keys to making that vision a reality.
