Our National Affiliations
At Positive Childhood Alliance NC (PCANC), we know that supporting families takes all of us. That’s why we proudly partner with leading national organizations to strengthen our impact at the state level, bringing proven strategies to North Carolina families and communities. These partnerships help us create stronger, more connected communities where all children and families have the chance to reach their full potential.
As the North Carolina chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, PCANC connects organizations and individuals with what they need to ensure all North Carolina children and families get what they need to succeed. Through this partnership, PCANC is able to bring innovative research to North Carolina, build a better understanding about what families need, participate in advocacy efforts to prioritize all children and families — especially those who have been left behind, and collaborate with a national network of state chapters to build and share solutions that work for all families.
PCANC leads the North Carolina Family Resource Center Network as the state chapter of the National Family Support Network. This partnership connects us with a dynamic network of family strengthening organizations across the country and allows us to bring the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support to communities across North Carolina.
PCANC is home to the North Carolina chapter of Circle of Parents®, a national network of mutual support and self-help programs in partnership with communities. We offer data-driven coaching and professional development for leaders of family support programs, including Circle of Parents®, helping them better support families in their own communities.
Positive Childhood Alliance North Carolina (PCANC) serves as the state office for Parents as Teachers in North Carolina. Through training, resources, and implementation guidance, PCANC, together with the North Carolina Parents as Teachers State Office, supports local organizations in meeting fidelity while delivering quality services that improve child health, development, and school readiness, supporting families from pregnancy through kindergarten.
